Renaissance Venture Capital, a fund of funds that supports venture capital growth in the region, is accepting applications for its upcoming Spring DEI UnDemo Day. The event, which will take place on April 17, 2024, aims to attract venture capital for startups led by underrepresented founders, including women, people of color, and individuals from marginalized communities. Past DEI UnDemo Days have been successful in facilitating meetings between underrepresented founders and prospective investors, with more than 500 meetings taking place at the last event. By providing access to venture investors and creating connections that may not have otherwise been made, DEI UnDemo Day helps support the growth of underrepresented geographies and founders. Participating startups will have the opportunity to engage in larger group pitches as well as curated one-on-one meetings with venture capitalists. The event also offers education sessions and pre-event coaching to startups. Renaissance Venture Capital hosts UnDemo Day twice a year and will hold its Fall event in October 2024 at Ford Field in Detroit.
