Supercharging Dutch Greenhouses: FOTONIQ’s Funding Revolutionizes Eco-friendly Horticulture

FOTONIQ, a spin-off company from Dutch-based PHYSEE, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding led by Navus Ventures and Icos Capital. The investment will be used to further develop FOTONIQ’s PAR+ spray coating technology for high-tech greenhouses, which increases crop yields and reduces energy costs. The company’s coating allows for more evenly distributed light and heat inside the greenhouse, resulting in higher crop yields. Lab measurements suggest that using PAR+ can generate an additional €200,000 in profit per hectare in greenhouses. FOTONIQ plans to apply PAR+ on over 30 hectares this year.
