Gentari sails wind, TiumBio & Heranova rise, China-India seal deals!

Gentari International Renewables, a subsidiary of Petronas-owned energy solutions company Gentari, has acquired a 49% stake in Canada-based Northland Power’s Hai Long offshore wind project. The project, consisting of two phases, is expected to have a generating capacity of 1,022 MW and will become the largest offshore wind project around Taiwan. TiumBio, a South Korean biopharmaceutical company, has secured KRW 38.5 billion ($30.7 million) in equity financing through the sale of 2.32 million shares of its convertible preferred shares to SK Chemicals.

Heranova Lifesciences, a female-focused health solutions provider, has raised $13.5 million in seed funding to develop non-invasive endometriosis tests and advance therapeutic programs for endometriosis and bacterial vaginosis. Monex Group, a Japanese financial services company, has acquired the majority stake in 3iQ Digital Holdings, a Canada-based crypto asset management company.

In China, humanoid robotics firm UBTech debuted on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, medical device provider Meihua International Medical Technologies raised $6 million, and food cold chain services provider Dongpin Online secured a nine-figure RMB sum in a Series C funding round. In India, cloud-based operating system developer ProjectX.Cloud has raised $200,000 from Google Cloud, financial services company Cashvisory has secured INR 12 million ($144,000), and battery swapping company Battery Smart has raised an undisclosed amount of debt funding from Trifecta Capital.
