A senior venture capital executive in Israel has been charged with sexual offenses against two women. The executive, who has not been named, had appealed to the Supreme Court to prevent his name from being disclosed, but his request was denied. The executive works for a fund that employs 250 people and annually invests between NIS 1-2 billion ($275-550 million), and serves as a director for about 10 companies with a combined value of approximately seven billion shekels. The alleged incidents occurred in 2020 and 2017. The executive had previously been released under restrictive conditions and a publication ban on his name, but after a hearing in October 2023, a decision was made to prosecute him. The Supreme Court has now granted permission for his name to be published on February 7.
