Bob W Secures €40m in Series B Funding

Bob W, a Helsinki-based hospitality operator, has successfully raised €40 million in its Series B funding round. The round was led by Evli Growth Partnership and saw participation from other growth capital investors and prominent European entrepreneurs. The funding will be used to develop Bob W’s technology and support its expansion throughout Europe. The company currently operates design-led aparthotels in 17 cities across 10 countries.

Bob W, founded in 2018, offers guests a combination of lifestyle hotel quality and the local authenticity and amenities of a home. Each apartment features bespoke local design and technology. The latest investment brings the total funding raised by Bob W to €62.5 million.

Bob W’s proprietary technology includes a digital front desk experience and a chat-based customer service tool called ‘Bob W’ to provide excellent customer service. The company’s ‘marketplace’ connects guests to local breakfast spots, gyms, and other facilities to enhance the local experience. Bob W is also committed to sustainability and transparency, working towards climate net-neutrality and offsetting the emissions of each stay.

Bob W plans to use the funding to recruit top talent and further establish itself as Europe’s most loved hospitality brand. Mikael Hed, growth partner at Evli Growth Partners, praised Bob W as a pioneer in the hybrid hospitality category and expressed excitement to support the team in their next phase of growth.
