Warsaw-based retail startup ZeroQs has raised €457k in funding from Freya Capital to develop its smart shopping cart technology and expand its presence in the market. ZeroQs’ smart shopping carts aim to reduce queues and enhance the shopping experience by allowing customers to scan items as they put them in the cart and automatically charging their account at checkout. The carts are equipped with a weighing system, barcode reader, and touchscreen for easy use. The funding will be used to continue developing the technology and expand into neighboring markets. ZeroQs is already in talks with leading retailers in Poland and Europe to expand its presence.
