Arlan Hamilton, founder of venture capital firm Backstage Capital, is dedicated to helping underestimated founders and creating wealth for more Black women. She has raised almost $30 million to support 200 startups led by underestimated founders. Hamilton believes that while access to funding is important, the path to generational wealth lies in ownership through entrepreneurship. With her new book, Your First Million: Why You Don’t Have To Be Born Into A Legacy of Wealth To Leave One Behind, Hamilton aims to help create 1,000 more millionaires in the next decade.
