UK startups have raised $13.2 billion in venture capital (VC) funding between January and November 2023, according to data from GlobalData. Despite a decline in both deal volume and value compared to the previous year, the UK remains an attractive destination for VC investors, securing a position among the top five global markets. The number of VC deals decreased by 26.9% and the disclosed funding value declined by 40.5%. The UK accounted for 6.5% of the total global VC funding volume and 6% of the disclosed funding value during this period. Notable VC deals include Conigital raising $623 million, Abound raising $602 million, Spendology raising $367.7 million, and Builder.ai and EToro each securing $250 million in funding.
