Alumni Ventures and Liquid 2 Ventures also made their mark with eight deals each, showcasing a diverse investment portfolio. Despite a slight drop in investment pace compared to the previous year, Alumni Ventures continued to support startups like CarbonCapture, a climate tech startup based in Los Angeles.

Liquid 2 Ventures, a San Francisco-based firm co-founded by NFL Hall of Famer Joe Montana, made its debut on the list with eight deals in March. The firm mainly focused on seed rounds, with notable investments in companies like Interlune and Overjet. Other prominent investors such as Andreessen Horowitz, FJ Labs, and New Enterprise Associates also maintained active participation in the U.S. startup ecosystem.

Reseda Group, affiliated with MSU Federal Credit Union, led all firms in the number of led or co-led deals last month, with a focus on fintech startups. Arch Venture Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners also stood out for leading high-dollar amount rounds. Y Combinator maintained its position as the top investing incubator and accelerator, supporting numerous startups post its winter demo day event.

Overall, the U.S. startup investment landscape showcased diverse activity among top investors, demonstrating continued support for innovative companies across various sectors.
