Taiko Secures $37M from Leading Investors Before Mainnet Debut

Taiko is recognized for being the largest Discord community in the rollups space, boasting over 850,000 members. The company’s recent testnet, Katla, has seen significant traction with over 1.1 million wallet addresses and over 13 million total transactions. This success has prompted Taiko to allocate nearly US$30 million for its second round of grants, signaling its commitment to supporting the ecosystem during the testnet phase.

By offering an Ethereum-equivalent ZK-Rollup, Taiko aims to scale Ethereum by enabling all EVM opcodes in a decentralized, permissionless, and secure Layer 2 architecture. With over 100 live apps in the Taiko ecosystem, supported by a vibrant community, the company has conducted six successful testnets involving numerous community members in various roles.
