Stellantis Honors Elite Startups at 2023 Venture Awards with Ovation

Stellantis N.V., a leading automaker and mobility provider, has recognised 11 top-performing technology startups with the second annual Stellantis Venture Awards. The honourees were selected based on their impact on customer experience, the novelty of their technology, and its potential scale within Stellantis.

  • The company leverages the global startup ecosystem to speed up its transition to becoming a sustainable mobility tech company.
  • The Venture Awards acknowledged six startups for their partnership with Stellantis and five more that received investment from the Stellantis Ventures capital fund.
  • Stellantis has partnered with over 110 startups in the last two years and its Ventures portfolio currently includes 12 investments.

The objective of the Stellantis Venture Awards is to highlight innovative startups that assist the company in delivering beneficial and state-of-the-art features to its customers. The recognized ventures fall within three pillars of Dare Forward 2030 – the strategic plan of the company, which are Care, Tech, and Value.

The honourees in the ‘Care’ category include Recicli, specialising in developing sustainable technologies for industries, NetZero, which specializes in removing carbon from the atmosphere, Trails Offroad, a platform inspiring customers to explore off-roading, and Vehya, which facilitates Stellantis customers in North America in choosing and installing the right home charging equipment.

In the ‘Tech’ category, Tiamat, Electra Vehicles, Vayyar, Geoflex, and 6K are the recognized startups. Tiamat has developed an advanced sodium-ion battery cell chemistry as an alternative to lithium-ion. Electra Vehicles offers AI-based software solutions to extend battery lifetime. Vayyar uses a highly advanced 4D imaging radar platform for in-cabin monitoring and safety. Geoflex provides global real-time positioning with an accuracy of up to 4 centimetres, and 6K’s UniMelt plasma process enables advanced sustainable manufacturing for clean, low-carbon material production.

Lastly, the ‘Value’ category winners are Shippeo and Freight Verify, which enable customers and dealers to track their vehicle’s transportation in real time. Stellantis also acknowledged the other 22 finalists and their projects.
