Sorin Investments, a venture capital firm co-founded by Sanjay Nayar and Angad Banga, has closed its maiden fund at INR 1,350 crore. The firm, based in Mumbai, aims to invest in startups at the Series A and B stages across tech and tech-enabled sectors including fintech, climate, B2B tech, retail, consumer brands, healthtech, and SaaS. Key limited partners include family offices, institutions, and senior KKR partners, among others.

Sanjay Nayar, Founder and Chairman of Sorin Investments, expressed gratitude towards the LPs for their faith in the firm and highlighted the potential of the Indian tech ecosystem. The fund has already made investments in companies such as Uniqus Consultech, Venwiz, Litestore, Freed, and Shivalik SFB. Angad Banga, General Partner, added that India’s tech innovation scene is thriving, supported by a pro-startup government. The recent addition of Subeer Monga as a partner further strengthens the team.
