Summary of Pro Weekly: Venture Capital’s Youth Movement
TLDR:
– The Next GPs identified 19 individuals likely to become general partners at major venture capital firms in coming years.
– Roughly half of the individuals on the list are 31 years old or younger.
My colleagues Natasha and Kate published The Next GPs this week, highlighting 19 individuals in the industry and at venture capital firms who are expected to become general partners in the near future. What stood out was the youth of these emerging leaders, with approximately half of them being 31 years old or younger. One standout example is Everett Randle, a 28-year-old investor at Kleiner Perkins who has already made notable investments in companies like SpaceX and Rippling. Lux Capital’s Grace Isford, aged 27, has led investments in innovative companies like Together AI and RunwayML. John Luttig, also 28, played a key role in Founders Fund’s investments in Rippling and OpenAI, the latter of which is now reportedly in talks to raise funding at a valuation of $100 billion.
