Welligence Energy Analytics, a Houston-based provider of energy data and intelligence, has raised $41 million in a series B funding round. The investment was led by Boston-based venture capital firm Elephant Partners, with participation from Veriten and EDG. Welligence specializes in data and intelligence for the oil and gas markets, greenhouse gas emissions sector, and carbon capture, storage, and utilization projects. The company plans to use the funding to expand its product offerings, enhance its geographic data capabilities, and enter new energy research verticals. Welligence currently has employees and clients across multiple continents and intends to open additional global offices. CEO Ross Lubetkin expressed his pride in the company’s growth and stated that the funding will help solidify Welligence’s position as a leading global energy research house.
