Q*Bird secures €25M in funding for growth and expansion

TLDR:

  • Q*Bird, a communications security startup based in the Netherlands, raised €2.5M in funding.
  • The funding round was led by QDNL Participations and Cottonwood Technology Fund, with participation from InnovationQuarter.

Q*Bird, led by CEO Ingrid Romijn, has developed a quantum cryptography product called Falqon, which provides security against attacks from future quantum computers. The company is currently involved in a large-scale trial of its technology at the Port of Rotterdam and has already secured a launch customer for Falqon. It has also signed three other contracts to deploy quantum networks across Europe and partnered with Eurofiber to enhance network security for its customers. The funds will be used to scale up sales of Falqon and develop further products in the quantum security space.

Overall, the funding will help Q*Bird expand its presence in the market and further develop its innovative quantum security technology.
