- Romanovski has been involved in recent scandals with companies in which he invested, including Vesttoo and Infarm.
After eight years of co-founding venture capital fund Hanaco Ventures, Pasha Romanovski has announced his retirement from day-to-day management of the fund. Romanovski had been associated with two companies in recent years that were hit with scandals. The first, insurtech company Vesttoo, faced insolvency with suspicion of fraud among its founders. The second company, agricultural unicorn Infarm, also declared bankruptcy. In May of this year, a personal lawsuit was filed against Romanovski by singer Omer Adam and investment manager Ran Nussbaum, accusing him of misleading investors in Infarm. Despite the challenges, Romanovski expressed pride in the work accomplished at Hanaco Ventures, emphasizing the importance of working with leading entrepreneurs and supporting them through various stages of growth. He plans to continue supporting portfolio companies in the fund before embarking on a new project. Alon Lifshitz, co-founder and General Partner of Hanaco Ventures, thanked Romanovski for their partnership and success in establishing one of the largest and most active funds in Israel. While they are sad to see him leave, they wish him success in his future endeavors.
