New York-based VC firm, 97212 Ventures, has closed a $20 million fund for early-stage Israeli startups in the pre-seed or seed stage. The fund aims to help these startups establish themselves in New York and gain access to experienced advisors, potential partners, and prospective clients in the US market. Founder Eyal Bino has been instrumental in creating a hub of Israeli startups in New York, with 450 companies, including 30 unicorns. The fund has already invested in 14 startups, offering them capital, guidance, and instant access to the entire NYC tech ecosystem. This opportunity comes at a time when securing venture capital funding is particularly challenging for early-stage Israeli startups, presenting unique opportunities for these startups to access top innovations with the potential to become unicorns.
