Nexus Ocean AI gets $400k in new funding from Tradeworks.vc

Singapore-based Nexus Ocean AI has secured $400,000 in fresh funding from venture capital firm Tradeworks.vc. The company offers generative AI personas for the maritime industry, supported by a Maritime Language Model. These personas interact with knowledge graphs across the client’s data silos, including mailboxes, and are trained on the user’s V-Net to ensure data security. Recent recognition from Google Trailblazers, Microsoft Founders Hub, and the PIER 71 Incubator by the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore has contributed to Nexus Ocean AI’s growth.

Tradeworks.vc, a PIER71 VC Partner, has invested in Nexus Ocean AI as its sixteenth project in supply chain and logistics technology since its launch in 2021. The partnership is a strategic move for both companies, as Tradeworks.vc aims to bridge the talent gap in the shipping industry by automating complex processes through AI technology.

Nexus Ocean AI’s innovative solution streamlines information processing, automates tasks like crew changes and maintenance plans, and enhances safety protocols within the maritime sector. The collaboration with Tradeworks.vc not only provides financial support but also strategic guidance and access to potential customers.

Shail Barthwal, Founder and CEO of Nexus Ocean AI, expressed the importance of partnering with Tradeworks.vc, emphasizing the firm’s understanding of maritime challenges and commitment to driving transformative solutions. Similarly, Niklas Holck, Founder and CEO of Tradeworks.vc, lauded Nexus Ocean AI’s capabilities in simplifying complex maritime operations and improving overall efficiency.

This funding milestone marks a significant step for Nexus Ocean AI in expanding its presence in the maritime industry and driving innovation through AI technology.
