Natural Cycles, a Stockholm-based women’s health company that created a birth control app, has closed a $55 million Series C funding round. The funding was led by Lauxera Capital Partners and included participation from Point72 Private Investments and a revolving debt facility from J.P. Morgan. Samuel Levy, founding partner of Lauxera Capital Partners, will join Natural Cycles’ Board of Directors as part of the investment.

Founded in 2013 by Dr. Elina Berglund Scherwitzl and Dr. Raoul Scherwitzl, Natural Cycles offers a direct-to-consumer contraceptive app that has been used by over three million users globally. The app, called NC°, uses an algorithm that analyzes body temperature to determine daily fertility status. Users can input their body temperature manually with a thermometer or sync it from devices like Oura Ring or Apple Watch. The app has received clearance from regulators in the United States, Europe, Canada, Australia, Singapore, and South Korea.

Recently, the company launched NC° Postpartum, a new feature within the app designed to support new moms in their postpartum journey. This addition complements the existing modes within the Natural Cycles app – NC° Birth Control, NC° Plan Pregnancy, and NC° Follow Pregnancy – providing holistic fertility support to users.
