Mandiri Capital Indonesia, a corporate venture capital firm backed by Bank Mandiri, has announced the launch of its first overseas initiative, the Xponent program in Bangkok, Thailand. The program aims to enhance strategic investment impact and includes various initiatives such as Xponent, Xchange, Y-Axis, and Zenith. Xponent facilitates startup expansion by providing market access and strengthening business alignment between startups and Bank Mandiri’s business units. The program has engaged 95 startups, signed 12 MoUs, and involved 25 business units within Bank Mandiri and its subsidiaries.
Additionally, Xchange is an innovation benchmarking activity, Y-Axis provides a platform for startups to expand their networks, and Zenith is a four-month acceleration program for business growth through mentoring, workshops, and synergy creation with the Mandiri Group ecosystem. MCI has partnered with nine portfolio startups and Zenith finalists to showcase their products and pitch business ideas.
Mandiri Capital Indonesia aims to continue strengthening the startup ecosystem in Indonesia, supporting international startups entering the market through ecosystem and knowledge sharing. Since its inception in 2015, MCI has facilitated investments and partnerships between its portfolio and the Mandiri Group, boasting a portfolio of over 20 startups from 14 verticals.
