A Myanmar-based logistics startup, Karzo, has secured pre-Series A funding from Orbit Startups, Cocoon Capital, and NP Consulting. The undisclosed amount will be used to increase the company’s market share in the Mekong region and develop a mobile app for truckers to manage freight requests. Upstage, a South Korea-based artificial intelligence startup, raised USD 72 million in a Series B funding round, making it the most funded AI company in South Korea. The funding will support Upstage’s expansion in the US and the development of large language models.

Sumday, a Tasmanian-based startup specializing in emissions accounting software, secured USD 5.3 million in seed funding led by Planeteer Capital. Nibertex, a deeptech startup based in Singapore and the Philippines, raised undisclosed funding to launch PFAS-free membrane technology. ShareChat, India’s largest homegrown social media company, raised USD 49 million from existing investors to develop ad targeting technology and grow its consumer transaction business.

In China, Luban Daojia Technology secured a nine-figure RMB sum in a Series B funding round, while Chinst raised an eight-figure RMB sum in a Series A+ funding round. Finogeeks completed a Series C funding round, DiSilicon secured nearly RMB 100 million in a pre-Series A funding round, Intalight completed a Series D funding round, ST Phi Therapeutics completed a Series A+ funding round, and Hengtron Nanotech secured over RMB 100 million in a Series A funding round.
