Introducing the First Executive Director at Local Venture Capital Firm

The Greater Nashville Venture Capital Association (GNVCA) has appointed Judith Byrd as its first executive director, starting on April 8, 2024. Byrd, who previously worked in government relations for Ardent Health Services and former Nashville Mayor David Briley, will lead the member association formed in 2023. The association, funded by a seed grant from Vanderbilt University, plans to enhance the availability of capital and talent for venture capital and angel investors in Nashville. Byrd’s vision for the organization is to support economic growth and innovation in Middle Tennessee. The GNVCA will transition to a self-sufficient organization governed by its members, with an office space located at 2100 West End Avenue starting in May.
