Born Ready, a venture capital fund focused on Web3 initiatives, has teamed up with Catalyze Research to launch the Catalyze Futureverse Ecosystem Fund. The partnership, established by Aaron McDonald and Shara Senderoff in 2016, aims to support and accelerate the development of Web3 technologies through investments ranging from $250,000 to $2 million for startups dedicated to building Futureverse’s infrastructure and content networks.

Futureverse, which raised $54 million in a series A funding round in July of the previous year, secured prominent investors such as 10T Holdings and Ripple. The Catalyze Futureverse Ecosystem Fund, with a commitment of $10 million, is focused on investing in nascent companies operating in Web3, Metaverse, AI, and content across the Asia-Pacific region. Selected ventures will have the opportunity to collaborate within the larger Futureverse ecosystem, including The Root Network’s blockchain platform. The initiative aims to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in Asia, particularly in the metaverse sector projected to surge to $43.4 million by 2030 in South Korea.

According to Born Ready, the partnership aims to drive exponential growth within The Root Network while providing a platform for startups in South Korea to thrive. Through strategic support and financial backing, the Catalyze Futureverse Ecosystem Fund seeks to accelerate the development of Web3 technologies and make meaningful contributions to the decentralized technologies landscape.
