Expanding Caeli Wind: Berlin Startup Secures €11M for Wind Projects

Berlin-based Caeli Wind, a platform for analysing and marketing wind energy locations, has announced securing €11 million in growth capital from international investors. The round was led by UK venture capital fund Notion Capital, with participation from Santander Alternative Investments and existing investors such as HTGF. Caeli Wind has developed an AI-based analysis system and marketplace to accelerate the expansion of wind turbines. The company has identified 173 new locations for wind turbines in Germany, reducing the realisation time for wind farms by 18 months. The funding will be used for international expansion, deepening the value chain, and further advancing Caeli’s technologies.

The founders emphasized the urgent need for digital transformation in the energy market, aiming to bring landowners and project developers for wind farms together on an equal footing globally. Notion Capital’s Managing Partner expressed excitement about Caeli Wind’s platform modernizing the wind energy value chain and accelerating the renewable energy transition. Santander InnoEnergy Climate Fund and HTGF also reiterated their support for Caeli Wind’s potential impact on the energy market. With this new capital, Caeli Wind aims to continue its growth and contribute to the decarbonisation effort.
