Enhance Cat medium dozers with cutting-edge technology enhancements

TLDR:

  • Caterpillar has announced two technology package upgrades for their medium dozer line
  • The upgrades include the Cat Assist with ARO suite of features, which will now be a standard feature on certain models, and the Cat Grade with 3D-ready option

Caterpillar (Cat) has announced two technology package upgrades for their medium dozer line. The upgrades include the Cat Assist with ARO (attachment-ready option) suite of features and the Cat Grade with 3D-ready option.

The Cat Assist with ARO suite of features, formerly known as ARO with Assist, will now be included as a standard feature on Cat D4, D5, D6, D6 XE, and D7 models, starting in early 2024. These features can be easily upgraded to Cat Grade 3D and include Stable Blade, Traction Control, Auto Carry, Blade Load Monitor, Slope Assist, Steer Assist, and ARO, which uses sensors on the machine for GPS capability.

The Cat Grade with 3D-ready option provides more flexibility for customers upgrading to Cat Grade with 3D on D4, D5, and D6 dozer models. This option includes all the hardware required for the 3D system and comes installed and tested from the factory. It includes onboard sensors, GNSS antennas and receivers, and a 10-inch touchscreen display. The hardware can be quickly updated to a complete Grade with 3D system with the purchase of necessary licenses through the Cat dealer.

Cat Grade with 3D uses GPS signals to automatically adjust blade lift and tilt movements, allowing operators to achieve design faster, save time, and reduce the cost of rework, labor, and materials.

Overall, these technology package upgrades reinforce Cat’s commitment to providing cutting-edge technology and innovation in their medium dozer line. The inclusion of the Cat Assist with ARO suite of features as a standard option and the Cat Grade with 3D-ready option give customers more capabilities and flexibility in their dozer operations.
