Cambridge-based funder Martlet Capital has announced that EMV Capital, a VC investor specializing in high-growth DeepTech and Life Sciences companies, has acquired its operational business and will now serve as the investment manager for Martlet Capital. EMV Capital will manage Martlet Capital’s portfolio of investments across 53 companies in the DeepTech and life sciences sectors. This acquisition provides EMV Capital with an expanded team of venture capital experts and an increase in Funds Under Management.
In addition, EMV Capital plans to leverage the Martlet brand to potentially launch two new funds managed by EMV Capital, including the Martlet Capital Fund II and Martlet Growth Fund. The transaction aims to maximize returns for Martlet Capital shareholders and further enhance Martlet’s position in Cambridge’s tech ecosystem.
