The funding round marks a significant milestone for D-Orbit, a European space technology company, and will allow the company to expand its space logistics services, including in-orbit satellite servicing and space cloud computing. D-Orbit aims to create the infrastructure for a $1tn future in-orbit economy, enabling the transportation of goods, information and people in space. The investment will also help enhance D-Orbit’s operational capabilities across the US, Europe and the United Kingdom.
