Chairperson Appointed by Venture Capital Trust Association for New Leadership


– The Venture Capital Trust Association (VCTA) has announced Chris Lewis as its new chair.
– Lewis is currently the chief financial and operating officer at Pembroke VCT and has 25 years of experience in the industry.

Chris Lewis, the chief financial and operating officer at Pembroke VCT, has been appointed as the new chair of the Venture Capital Trust Association (VCTA). Lewis will be taking over from Will Fraser-Allen of Albion Capital. With over 25 years of experience in venture capital investment and a background in supporting growing companies, Lewis brings valuable expertise to the role. Upon his appointment, Lewis expressed the importance of the VCT scheme in the UK’s funding ecosystem and highlighted the recent extension of the scheme until at least 2035, which is crucial for the continued success of VCTs. The VCTA represents 12 of the largest VCT managers in the UK and holds over £5.5bn in funds under management.
