PE/VC investors in India have made almost ₹1 lakh crore (approximately $14 billion) in exits in 2023, thanks to the bull run in the stock market, according to a report by Nuvama. Midcap companies accounted for 50% of the total exit deals, with foreign investors such as Softbank and Warburg Pincus selling stock worth ₹81,200 crore. The financial sector saw the most exits, accounting for 45% of the total, followed by consumer discretionary and IT.
