The funding round was led by Lucas Venture Group and saw participation from Capital Eleven, Backstage Capital, Tacoma Ventures, Mark Cuban, and Kevin Huvane. Founded in 2020 by Rachel Wilson and Karin Layton, BoldHue is known for its device that formulates foundation on-demand at home. The company plans to use the funds to accelerate the development of its patented device and begin shipping its first 10,000 units this fall to a waitlist of over 40,000. BoldHue had previously raised nearly $2M in friends and family and pre-seed rounds, making this $3.37M seed funding its first priced round.
