AllSpice.io, a hardware collaboration platform headquartered in Boston, MA, announced that it has successfully raised $6 million in a recent venture funding round. The platform, geared towards Electrical Engineers, Hardware Engineers, and PCB Designers, is aimed at modernizing collaboration and workflows. The notable contributors in this funding round included Root Ventures, Flybridge Capital Partners, Benchstrength, Bowery Capital, and a group of private angel investors.

The raised capital will be allocated towards developing new features for the platform’s enterprise customer base. Particular focus will be on complex implementations, integrations, and extending support for additional ECAD formats. AllSpice.io is led by CEO Valentina Ratner and CTO Kyle Dumont. The platform already has a diverse range of customers, from startups to Fortune 500s from various even across diverse sectors such as robotics, instrumentation, aerospace, consumer electronics, transportation, medical devices, and automotive industries.

AllSpice.io’s unique selling point is that it connects native engineering design tools to offer Git-based revision control. This process creates a central hub for cross-team collaboration, workflow automation, and design analytics. While the primary users of AllSpice.io are Hardware Engineers, PCB Designers, and Electrical Engineers, the platform is also utilised by ancillary teams and third parties, including Firmware Engineers, Software Engineers, Contract Manufacturers, and Procurement Departments, who collaborate via the platform.

The successful funding round signifies increased support and validation for AllSpice.io’s mission to modernize hardware development and collaboration. The infusion of new capital allows the company to further innovate their platform and bring even more robust solutions to their customers.
