Agrow Analytics: Spearheading Next-Gen Smart Irrigation with €650k Boost

Malaga-based Agrow Analytics has raised €650,000 ($800,000) in a seed funding round led by GoHub Ventures, Demium Capital, and First Drop. The funds will be used to support the company’s international expansion as well as further develop its precision irrigation system. Agrow Analytics uses artificial intelligence, satellite images, and IoT devices to provide accurate recommendations for when and how much to irrigate crops. The system aims to improve water efficiency and reduce the water footprint in agriculture. The company has been recognized for its innovative approach and has received the EIT Food Water Scarcity award and a NEOTEC grant. It has also secured a water footprint compensation contract in Europe, allowing large corporations to offset their water footprint through Agrow Analytics. In a context where global water demand is expected to increase by 30% by 2030, the company’s solution is seen as a way for companies to achieve their water security and replenishment strategies.
