The Speedrun Tech x Games accelerator is a 12-week program that aims to support startups with investment, mentorship, and industry connections to help them secure funding. A16Z will invest $750,000 in selected startups, with applications open until May 19. The program will run from July 29, 2024, and culminate with a demo day during San Francisco Tech Week in October. Investing partner Josh Lu expressed excitement about the program, highlighting the support and knowledge provided by the team of operators and partners at A16Z Games.

The Speedrun program aims to equip startups with the tools and resources needed to go from zero to launch in the games industry. The previous founders in the program have shown impressive progress in a short period of time, and A16Z Games is excited to see the ideas and products that will come out of this year’s iteration. The accelerator program aims to not only provide capital support but also mentorship and industry connections to help startups succeed in the competitive gaming industry.
