TLDR:
- 18 emerging impact fund managers selected by VC Include for program
- Program aims to create an inclusive ecosystem for LPs and GPs from diverse backgrounds
VC Include has selected 18 emerging impact fund managers for their Fellowship for Impact Fund I Managers program. This initiative is part of VC Include’s effort to promote diversity and inclusion within the investment industry by creating a more inclusive ecosystem for LPs (limited partners) and GPs (general partners) from diverse backgrounds.
The selected managers come from a variety of backgrounds, including Douglas Watson of Measured Capital, Laura Fox of Streetlife Ventures, and Keith Daniel of Resilient Ventures. These managers will undergo a two-month program aimed at providing them with education and support to accelerate their innovative and profitable ventures, reduce inequities, and drive economic growth.
VC Include’s program is supported by organizations such as the Skoll Foundation, the MacArthur Foundation, and Blue Haven Initiative. Only 1.4% of US assets under management are currently entrusted to firms owned by women or women of color, highlighting the importance of initiatives like VC Include to promote diversity and inclusion within the investment industry.
