Former Goldman Sachs executive Isabelle Ealet, also known as the “Queen of Commodities,” has recently joined the advisory board of Catalio Capital Management. Catalio’s founder George Petrocheilos announced the news on LinkedIn, stating that Ealet will be part of the advisory board chaired by Henry Kravis. Ealet, a French-born executive, began her career at at a predecessor firm to France’s energy giant Total before joining Goldman Sachs in 1991. She made history by becoming the first woman to run a major division at the firm in 2007. Ealet attributed her success at Goldman Sachs to the culture of results and intense working days requiring permanent concentration. She later co-headed the bank’s securities division before retiring in 2018. Ealet’s expertise in commodities and financial markets will bring valuable insights to Catalio Capital Management’s board.
