Shorooq Partners, a UAE-based alternative investment manager, has made its first investment in Türkiye by leading a US$5 million seed round in the traveltech startup, Roamless. Launched in 2023, Roamless provides eSIM services for seamless travel internet and worldwide international calling experiences. The investment aligns with Shorooq Partners’ expertise in various sectors and its commitment to supporting innovative startups.

McAdicoming on this investment, Mahmoud Adi, Founding Partner of Shorooq Partners, expressed confidence in Roamless’s potential to disrupt the traveltech industry. Emre Demirel, co-founder and CEO of Roamless, highlighted the company’s mission of digital transformation in the telecom industry with this investment.

With Revo Capital and other VC firms from Türkiye also participating in the seed round, Roamless is set to accelerate its growth. Shorooq Partners plans to deepen its involvement in Türkiye’s tech ecosystem by establishing local partnerships and supporting startups in the region. Adi emphasized the importance of demonstrating market need, scalability, and innovation for entrepreneurs seeking investment.
