Shipzero Raises €8Million for Logistics Emissions Management Platform

TLDR:

Key Points:

  • Shipzero has raised €8 million in a Series A funding round to support the growth and expansion of its emissions management platform.
  • The funding will be used for international expansion and new features, including a Book & Claim solution.

Green logistics-focused startup Shipzero has secured €8 million (USD$8.7 million) in Series A funding to enhance its transport emissions management platform. Founded in 2018, Shipzero helps shippers, logistics service providers, and carriers manage and reduce transport emissions to aid in decarbonizing supply chains. The company’s core product, Shipzero, enables the calculation and monitoring of emissions across all modes of transport, providing features such as data collection, emissions reporting, benchmarking, and analytics. The funding round, led by ETF Partners, will fuel international expansion and the development of new emissions management features like the innovative Book & Claim solution. This solution allows companies to claim sustainability attributes of products used in transport by paying a premium, promoting the use of sustainable fuels. Shipzero’s efforts align with the industry’s shift toward employing direct emissions data to manage logistics emissions effectively. Fabrice Bienfait, Senior Partner at ETF Partners, commended Shipzero’s leadership in emissions management and its contribution to moving the logistics sector forward.
