Survival of Venture Capital Market: Insight from Rifkat Minnikhanov

Rifkat Minnikhanov, head of the organising committee, highlighted the importance of technological entrepreneurship and the involvement of young people in business at the upcoming Russian Venture Forum 2024. The event will feature over 4,000 participants, 200 speakers, and a large number of foreign investors, with a focus on the development of young entrepreneurs in knowledge-intensive sectors. The plenary session will explore the topic of “Technological entrepreneurship: The Space of Higher Competencies,” moderated by TASS Deputy Director Andrey Sokolov.

The forum will also feature an exposition showcasing developments and startups from 500 companies, with 50 projects applying for funding under the Investment and Venture Fund acceleration programme. Additionally, a competitive selection process will be held to choose 20 promising projects to participate in the BRICS University summit.

The event will include 43 events in three blocks, covering university technological entrepreneurship, venture investments, and private investors. Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Science of Russia, Daria Kiryanova, suggested inviting governors to discuss regional policy and how investments affect their regions, although due to current issues, their attendance may be optional.

The forum aims to promote technological entrepreneurship and innovation, with a focus on young entrepreneurs and the development of knowledge-intensive businesses. It will provide a platform for networking, funding opportunities, and knowledge sharing among participants from Russia and abroad.
