ANA Holdings Launches Future Frontier Fund with Global Brain Corporation

ANA HOLDINGS INC. is partnering with Global Brain Corporation to establish the ANA Future Frontier Fund L.P. on April 11, 2024. This fund aims to support the growth of startup companies and accelerate new businesses to strengthen non-airline linked businesses and invest in promising startups expected to enhance airline profitability and improve customer experience.

The fund, named AH-GB Future Creation Investment Limited Partnership, will have a fund size of 8 billion yen and an operational period of 10 years. It will focus on accelerating new businesses in various fields, such as next-generation mobility, customer base utilization businesses, carbon neutral fuels, and aviation services and operations innovations, with approximately 60% of investments in Japan and 40% overseas.

President and CEO of ANA HD, Koji Shibata, highlighted the company’s focus on expanding its business beyond aviation to next-generation mobility and enriching daily life offerings. Yoshiaki Tsuda, Executive Vice President of ANA HD, emphasized the company’s past experiences in open innovation and proactive startup investments, while Yasuhiko Yurimoto, CEO of Global Brain Corporation, expressed great potential in partnering with ANA HD to discover and nurture startups.

The ANA Future Frontier Fund L.P. represents ANA Group’s commitment to expanding its business portfolio, strengthening its core business, and engaging in open innovation to realize its vision of “Uniting the World in Wonder” through innovative startups and investments.
