Neurava Secures $226M in Seed Round

Neurava, a MedTech startup, raised $2.26M in Seed funding led by Life Science Angels, with a strategic investment from UCB and support from other investors. The funding will allow Neurava to complete a pivotal usability study at leading clinical institutions in adults and pediatric patients with epilepsy. They also plan to set up manufacturing partners and submit for FDA clearance in advance of their Series A round of funding. Co-founded by CEO Jay Shah and CTO Vivek Ganesh, Neurava is developing smart wearables capable of identifying and alerting for seizures, cardiorespiratory dysfunctions, and impending SUDEP risk. This diagnostic platform has the potential to have a lifesaving impact on people worldwide who suffer from epilepsy.
