Los Angeles-based climate tech company, Haven Energy, has secured $7 million in Series A funding. The funding round was led by Giant Ventures and included participation from Lerer Hippeau, Raven One Ventures, Comcast Ventures, LifeX, TO VC, and Habitat Partners. Haven Energy plans to use the funds to expand into new markets and launch a software platform for selling home battery storage at scale, creating new revenue streams for solar and home energy partners. The company aims to accelerate the adoption of home battery storage by guiding homeowners through the selection, quoting, financing, and installation process. After installation, Haven Energy helps homeowners integrate their battery systems into an aggregated virtual power plant, allowing them to monetize participation in grid services and reduce electricity costs. Haven Energy CEO Vinnie Campo stated that home battery systems are a smart investment for homeowners as they can lower monthly electricity bills, provide power during outages, and enable energy independence.
