Italian Founders Fund launch debut €50M fund

Italian Venture Capital fund Italian Founders Fund (IFF) has raised its debut €50M fund, launching today. The fund’s strategy is to focus on founders at the pre-seed and seed stages, operating in Italy and abroad.

Founding partner Lorenzo Franzi stated, “A new chapter has begun for the Italian Venture Capital ecosystem. We’ve brought over 100 founders onboard, including key figures from Italy’s entrepreneurial and innovation sector, positioning us to set up a system to promote and support Italy’s ecosystem both domestically and globally.”

IFF aims to complete 25 transactions during its investment period, with initial investments ranging from €500,000 to €1.5 million. The fund also has the possibility of accessing an additional €2.5 million in subsequent rounds. Some of the fund’s initial investments include Jet HR, a tech company focusing on HR management, and Glaut, a company using AI to improve market research and surveys.

Marco Morgese, CEO of KOINOS Capital SGR, commented on the significance of IFF in Italy’s industrial development, highlighting the fund’s role in supporting innovation.
