Bangladesh VC Funds Tk25cr for Chaldal and Sokrio Growth

Bangladesh Venture Capital Limited (BVCL) has announced investing a total of Tk 2.5 crore in Chaldal Limited and Sokrio Technologies Limited. The investment was unveiled at an event organized by BVCL, with the funding directed towards fostering the growth of these two startups in the Bangladeshi market. Chaldal.com, a prominent e-commerce platform in Bangladesh known for its online grocery delivery services, received Tk2 crore in investments from the local venture capital firm. Additionally, Sokrio Technologies Limited, a software as a service (SaaS) platform specializing in distribution management systems (DMS), received Tk50 lakh in investments.

The investment announcement was accompanied by a panel discussion titled “Founder’s Insight: A Journey of a Dream to Crafting Reality.” This panel discussion featured prominent figures in the entrepreneurial landscape, including the Chairman of Daffodil Group Md Sabur Khan, Chaldal Founder and CEO Waseem Alim, Brainstation 23 PLC Founder and CEO Raisul Kabir, and Sokrio Technologies Founder and CEO Md Mubir Mahbub Chowdhury. The discussion, moderated by BVCL CEO Shawkat Hossain, delved into the experiences and insights of successful entrepreneurs, touching on topics such as fundraising, IPO opportunities, and maintaining motivation throughout the entrepreneurial journey.
