Today Ada Ventures closed an oversubscribed £63 million second fund from institutional LPs, with new LPs including The Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO), The University Of Edinburgh, Molten Ventures, and Legal & General Capital. The fund has developed an ‘Inclusive Alpha®’ approach, which focuses on inclusion and diversity in investments. Ada Ventures embeds this commitment to inclusion at every stage of the investment process, providing founders with access to mental health support and a commitment to supporting parents in their portfolio with the cost of childcare. The fund also boasts a diverse portfolio, with 74 percent of portfolio founders coming from underrepresented backgrounds, 48 percent having a woman founder, and 44 percent led by ethnic minority founders. With Fund II capital, Ada Ventures plans to invest between £250k and £1.5 million in Pre-Seed and Seed-stage startups, focusing on breakthrough ideas across climate equity, economic empowerment, and healthy aging.
